It is said that St. John Bosco saw the Philippines in one of his dreams. And this is because he saw a mission land where people were addressing his Salesians as “Don Bosco!” “Don Bosco!” And this is exactly how we call the Salesians and their work in the Philippines - “Don Bosco” Fathers & Brothers, “Don Bosco” Schools, “Don Bosco” Training Centers, “Don Bosco” Parishes, “Don Bosco” Oratories … . etc. 

Well, he will DEFINITELY see the Philippines. He is coming for us! His RELIC will visit the Philippines (Visayas - Dec, 5-23, 2010 & Luzon - Dec. 23, 2010-Jan.15, 2011).

Jan. 6-7 - Don Bosco Technical College, Mandaluyong

my dad owes his education to the Salesian brothers. They saw potential in a poor boy from the mountains (ifugao) and made sure he got his degree when he graduated from elemenatry and hs (don bosco in lagawe). he ended up with a degree in education (major in history. ta-dah, that’s why i’m a little of a history nut). i guess i owe them too because without them, i won’t be enjoying the life i’m having now…i’d probably be planting rice (no offense to farmers, my ancestors, my relatives, etc).
